Out of the three main social sites Facebook, YouTube and Twitter what would be the best resource for buidling/researching a new business or product. Sending love from The Bag Holder-Dont be left holding the bag

For businesses social media has the potential for forming many, many connections or associations, but a meaningful relationship--one that builds loyalty and translates to recommendations and/or sales takes time. Time, in this economy, is something a lot of businesses are running out of. How would you recommend spending limited resources (time & money)?

When the advertising budget for a small business is set on "frugal", where would be the BEST place to put the few dollars available to get the MOST "bang for the buck"?

As the creator of the Reading Focus Cards for struggling readers, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to ask this question and receive your GOOD answer!

Knowing how important marketing is to not only build your brand but in getting product recognition what is the best way to connect with top bloggers, editors and even producers that would be willing to talk about your product? How can you find top bloggers? Do you know of a website where you can do research and find out the numbers (top bloggers in your area of business) you need to do business with them? How can you get editors to become interested in your product with out them asking you to purchase space? The biggest question of all. I see products that the "Today" show and other top notch shows are showcaseing, having the special guest as a mom inventor or a certain products that are on the market and are not well known being featured. How did they do that? I realize you can hire a firm to handle your marketing needs but I'm talking about how to handle your marketing needs with out a firm that cost x amount of dollars every month. I looked into doing business with a media firm and they pretty much worked like a law firm and wanted a retainer. A retainer that will not guarantee any results whether they were good or bad. Our economic down fall is bad enough that small companies can and are not willing to spend good money with no guarantee. That's why companies like mine are looking for ways to do publicity and handle marketing needs on our own. With that being said the marketing can be a nightmare and more so when you don't know what direction to go and don't understand how the system works to get your foot in the door. I've had people at the "Balancing Act" which air's on Lifetime contact me and have a thousand percent interest in my company they ask me to come on the show. However at the very end of the conversation the catch was I had to pay over 5,500.00 dollars to be featured. I'm sorry but you called me and your asking me to give you thousands of dollars. Not only that but why keep me on the phone getting my hopes up for over 30 minutes talking about statics then at the very end hit me with a bomb that oh we need thousands of dollars? Please help with this and tell us the hidden secret to get moving with getting the publicity we all deserve. Thank you so much!! Kimberly Davis~~Inventor of Hugga Bebe
